How is it that some guys - even small guys like Pigeon can knock people the fuck out night after night until someone gets tired of it and hits him in the eye with a puck so he can't play? When other bigger guys (yes, I'm looking at you Patty and Jumbo) can have an awesomely physical game like Patty's against Chicago the other night...and then disappear?
It's got to be mental, right? I have thought in the past that if it's not a normal part of your game, it probably takes more out of you but I'd love to see Patty kicking ass and taking names like he was the other night.

I just finished eating some Vlasic pickles. One of my superstitious beliefs is that eating Vlasic pickles will make Marc-Eduoard play better. Doesn't seem to be working though. Speaking of superstitions...last night was the first Sharks game I've watched this year without some officially licensed Sharks paraphanalia on... Yep, that's right. Ferriero's a beast on the boards! There is a group of Oilers fans that are bugging the shit out of me. I don't think they're even watching the game...every time play comes down to their side of the ice, they stand up, turn around and wave to the camera. The camera is pretty far away, but they know exactly the angle and timing. Oh well. I guess you have to do something to make an Oilers game more fun.
